CLINICAL WASTE DISPOSAL SERVICES

Choosing the right Washroom Services provider is key to disposing of your Clinical Waste.

Ecosan can take care of all of your requirements if you are a business that is producing these types of waste or if you are an employer with first aid facilities.

Ecosan will help you to comply with all Government legislation and directives whether you are looking to eradicate or reduce your waste stream, or recycle where possible.

Clinical waste is defined in the Controlled Waste Regulations 1992 and it means any waste which consists wholly or partly of:

Human or Animal Tissue

Blood, Bodily Fluids or Excretions

Drugs or other Pharmaceutical Products

Swabs or Medical Dressings

Syringes, Needles or other Sharp Instruments (Sharps)

If the above applies to your nature of business, then you will be producing Clinical Waste and as such you have a legal Duty of Care regarding the disposal of this.

Ecosan will manage regular and reliable collections

We provide waste bins including Sharps Disposal Containers, Nappy Bins, Clinical Waste Bins and Sanitary Waste Bins all for the safe storage and disposal of needles, blades and other sharp medical objects

Nappy Disposal

Ecosan was the first southern-based business to offer sanitary, nappy and incontinence recycling.
Ecosan converts sanitary, nappy and incontinence waste into energy, which is then used to power homes.

An average baby will get through 6,000 disposable nappies. Ecosan divert 100% of all sanitary and nappy waste from landfill. Other suppliers choose to landfill nappies, which take 500 years to breakdown.

In the UK, more than one million tonnes of absorbent hygiene products (‘AHP’) waste (much of it from the commercial sector) is generated annually, the majority being sent to landfill. We’re determined to reduce this figure whilst helping cut our customers’ carbon output and saving them money.
